About Us
Select Oilfield Services, LLC was formed in 2010 in Harvey, Louisiana to provide slickline services to the oil & gas industry. Within a year, Select had outgrown its initial 3 units and single liftboat, and acquired Wireline Specialist of Louisiana - adding 23 units and a Lafayette Division. Further expansion pushed Select into the South Texas Region, adding two additional divisions - Kingsville and Kennedy, Texas. Similarly, the marine department grew to 2 liftboats and 2 self-propelled spud barges.

In 2018, Select divested its land assets and refocused on providing slickline and liftboat services to the Gulf of America and inland waters of the State of LA.
Select continued to grow its asset base during the market downturn by acquiring an electricline company, a full P&A spread and P&A spud barge in 2020, followed by its acquisition of a second full P&A spread and a 105’ class liftboat in 2021. At this time, Select pivoted its Business Model away from that of primarily providing slickline services to that of providing full well abandonment & facility decommissioning services – specializing in working with Orphaned and Legacy wells & facilities.
Select maintains a large, highly skilled and multi-faceted crew, allowing us to maintain a Monday – Thursday work schedule to allow our personnel to enjoy weekends with friends and family.
To ensure minimum downtime for our Customers, Select owns backup equipment for every aspect of our operations – ranging from electricline, thru cement pumping, to marine support.
